We are seeking an experienced musculoskeletal physician with a specialization in sports and regenerative medicine, as well as proficiency in ultrasound-guided procedures. The applicant must Board Certified in PM&R or Family Medicine and be fellowship trained in Sports Medicine with Board Certification or board-eligible.
Position Overview:
As an orthopedic sports medicine doctor you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries. You will leverage your expertise in non-operative sports medicine, regenerative medicine and ultrasound-guided procedures to provide cutting-edge treatments and contribute to our mission of optimizing patient function and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Care: Evaluate, diagnose, and develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients with musculoskeletal conditions and sports-related injuries.
• Regenerative Medicine: Apply advanced regenerative medicine techniques, including PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and stem cell therapies, to enhance healing and recovery.
• Ultrasound-Guided Procedures: Perform ultrasound-guided injections and other procedures to ensure precision and efficacy in treatment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with physical therapists, orthopedic surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Education: Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and rehabilitation protocols, promoting self-management and prevention strategies.
• Research & Development: Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in musculoskeletal and sports medicine to integrate evidence-based practices into patient care.
Qualifications:
• Medical Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Board Certification: Must be board certified in PM&R or Family Medicine.
• Advanced Training: Must be fellowship trained, board certified or board-eligible, in sports medicine (CAQ).
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in musculoskeletal and sports medicine, with a strong background in regenerative therapies, ultrasound-guided procedures, spinal injections, and pain management.
• Skills: Proficiency in performing and interpreting ultrasound-guided diagnostics and procedures, along with a demonstrated ability to apply regenerative medicine techniques effectively.
• Licensure: Valid medical license in Virginia or the ability to obtain a Virginia Medical License.
• Team Player: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
